About Richard Murphy

I am Dunedin born and bred, now living permanently in Dunedin with my busy partner and 2 sons. I balance my architectural practice with an active family life and training for triathlons.

I completed my Architecture Degree at Victoria University, with a strong Interior Design component to my studies. Since graduating with Honours, I have worked in urban design, on heritage buildings, public buildings, in a small private practice, and ultimately in my own right.

I have a strong interest in green buildings, having worked at Architectural Ecology Ltd. I have also worked on buildings in Wanaka and Queenstown.

I enjoy working with clients who appreciate and value architecture, people, place and the environment.
